SWIPT-Enabled Cooperative Wireless IoT Networks with Friendly Jammer and Eavesdropper: Outage and Intercept Probability Analysis

Physical layer security (PLS) and simultaneous wireless information power transfer (SWIPT) in cooperative relaying have gained great interest as technologies for energy enhancement Internet-of-Things (IoT) networks. In this work, we investigate PLS a SWIPT- AF-enabled IoT system, consisting of one source, multiple harvesting (EH) relays, destination, the presence an eavesdropper that tries to overhear confidential information. Furthermore, EH-friendly jammer is deployed transmit jamming signals aimed at improve system. context, low-complexity, sub-optimal, but efficient relay selection method proposed. More specifically, selected convey such it has best channel source. Based on proposed system model, performance analysis intercept probability (IP), asymptotic IP, non-zero secrecy (NZSP) analyzed by considering time switching (TS)-based strategy. The splitting factor α makes variations about 3× ∈ [0.1, 0.8]. However, dramatic reduction up 317× observed increases from 0.8 0.9.
